The overarching goal is to provide expertise as a subject matter expert for “Wheel-Rail Interaction – Project 4: Rail Track Stiffness.” This includes facilitating communication with and among external research partners involved in the project, conducting scientific research, analyses, and documentation, supporting the project management team, and contributing to the organization and delivery of seminars and workshops.
Results
In 2024, we worked on finalizing the following topics:
Coordination and set-up of parameter study for rail-wheel interaction models to simulate static and dynamic rail wear and noise under various boundary conditions.
Coordination of underground simulation model to predict rail track behavior with different substructure materials. This information forms the basis for economic evaluations.
Aggregation and synthesis of compiled knowledge of all railway track components to elaborate recommendations for the use of components under specific boundary conditions.
Shaping a sustainable future of railways together.
As Rail Consulting company from Austria we provide support with data-based optimization of processes in terms of efficiency, cost-effectiveness and sustainability in the rail industry.
